Commission shortlist

Behind the scenes there is usually a lot of work going on towards a bid for a new project. It’s hard to imagine when you see the finished projects on here how much work goes into these applications. The requirements are usually quite in depth and can mean working on a 45 page questionnaire, giving examples of several past projects, budgets, timescales, insurances, references etc.

I was shortlisted a bid for a couple of commissions in Reading Town Centre, at the heart of it is a huge mosaic (40m x 5m) and lots of community input. Due to the professionalism of the client I am being paid for this work this time, this has allowed me to spend more time on it and bring in other professionals. Fingers crossed that all the hard work I have put in comes to fruition!
