Ferrars Road Sculpture

I recently carved a former for a large iron casting for a new housing estate in Sheffield. The theme is nature and the local demolished cooling towers as well as fabric patterns from Bangladeshi and Somali fabrics.

I’ve enjoyed carving the 2.4m tall polystyrene former.

It’s the first time I have done so much detail on a casting so I was very interested to see what happened. it came out very well and will be installed in January 2024
