Making the Badgers sculpture was exciting, I love working large scale, even better I had the opportunity to make a new design for the back.

The scale is huge when you stand next to it, the colours and the textures are really rich. It was fun to work on and hard work too. I had to work with ten people to make this happen through the contractor.

I was selected in lockdown from a design I sent to the competition, I made a huge effort to do a good design as I had no idea what would happen after the pandemic so I had to try really hard to get it.

The truth is I really enjoyed designing and making it. I loved the way it really looks like balancing stones despite the hidden structure inside the fabricated metal. The polished edge really sets it off.

Thanks to Jen, Babitt, Ruby and Jason for your assistance. Elysion Ltd for fabrication.
