Laminae - Yorkshire Sculpture Park curated commission.

I was selected by Yorkshire Sculpture Park curators in 2020 from an open call to find contemporary sculptors in Yorkshire to create a new piece of Sculpture for a private collector. My piece ‘Laminae’ was created using polished stainless steel, ceramic mosaic and gold leaf. It was installed in summer 2021. In this work I am reflecting on layers in rock and how that relates to layers in society and nature and how these repeat and change. I worked with fabricators and structure engineers to create this piece, I am keen on a stronger together philosophy.

‘Laminae’ Mirror polished stainless steel, gold leaf and ceramic mosaic.

5m x 600mm. 2021.
